In 2015 we made a film with the Mazovian Unit of EU Programmes Implementation in Warsaw. Its aim was to tell in a simple way how to gain European Funds. The project went very well and many organisations associated with European Funds considered it to set a good example.

Now, 3 years later, Mazovian Unit of EU Programmes Implementation called us to say they wanted to submit the film to Camerimage international film festival. Of course, we were not be competing with Pawlikowski’s “Cold War” or Cuarón’s “Roma”; the festival holds a separate competition for the advertising “European Funds in frame”.

It turned out the film is too long. It was over 7 minutes, so 4 more that it had to be. With the client, we decided to shorten it to be able to compete. We managed to do this, so now you can find our film on the list, under no. 14.

The full list of competing films can be found here: https://camerimage.pl/wydarzenie/konkurs-spotow-reklamowych-fundusze-europejskie-w-kadrze-2/

And the original 7-minute-long film you can watch here:

Even though David Lynch, Oliver Stone, or Keanu Reeves, all known to visit Camerimage, will rather not see our film, it is still a great distinction for us.

The jury features e.g. Jan Majle (Juror of KTR, Eurobest, New York Festivals, Grand Video Awards); Arkadiusz Tomiak, heavily awarded Polish camera operator, Member of the European Film Academy and since 2015 the chair of Polish Society of Cinematographers; as well as Marcin Kuchno and Robert Tarnowski, PR experts known for example from their blog “PR bez Krawatów” (PR without ties).

Competition shows will be held on Thursday, November 15, at 10 AM, in room no. 7 in Multikino in Bydgoszcz.
