#1 Product demonstration videos
In contrast to an explainer video that explains how a product works, product videos tell a general story about the product – they do not explain how it works. The point is to evoke emotions related to the product in the viewer.
For example, no one today needs to be told how to use a cell phone. A video explainer would not be the best option in this case [“press the button on the side longer and the cell phone will turn on. magic, right?”]. In this case, the idea is to show the advantages of the product – the new shape, gadgets, and performance.
Such videos show potential customers the application of the product in everyday life, but without going into details. They allow the company to stand out from the competition.

#2 Promotional videos in the form of explainer videos
Explainer videos, or exploratory videos, explain how something works. They are especially useful in the case of innovative products and services and those that are not immediately intuitively understood by the audience. The kind that need to be explained.
It is with these types of promotional videos that animations are often used.

#3 Promotional videos in the form of testimonials
A video testimonial is simply a satisfied customer praising a product or service. This satisfied customer tells how it helped him solve a problem, increase profits and achieve his business goals.
The advantage of video testimonials is role reversal. It’s not the company talking about the product, but the customer. This builds trust in the brand.
Such promotional videos are prepared using a traditional method. Elements of animation can be weaved in for variety and to attract attention.

This type of promotional video is currently very popular on YouTube and Instagram.
Influencers record a review of a product. Influencers can be people with a huge social media reach or hits the company’s target audience.

#5 Promotional Event Videos
These types of videos can take several different forms.
They can be a short summary of a company’s event – e.g. a conference, published after its conclusion or as part of the promotion of another one.
They can also be longer videos broadcast live during the event – on YouTube, Instagram or Facebook.
The advantage of such videos is the promotion of the company and its activities online.

#6 Promotional videos about the history of… and generally about the company
Promotional videos showing the history of the company, its employees and the work culture, are designed to shorten the distance between the company and potential customers. In this way, the company creates its image.
This type of promotional film can be prepared both in the form of a classic film or as an animation.
